Application refers to StudyPulse-Pomodoro, the software program provided by the Company.
Company (referred to as "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our") refers to StudyPulse-Pomodoro.

Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cell phone or a digital tablet.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Service refers to the Application.
Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
You means the individual accessing or using the Service.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device's unique ID, Your mobile operating system, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Anonymous Device Identifier

When You first launch the Application, a randomly generated anonymous identifier (UUID) is created and stored securely on Your device using the iOS Keychain. This identifier is used solely to associate Your study data (subjects, focus sessions, settings) with Your device. We do not collect Your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information. This anonymous ID cannot be used to identify You personally.

Data Stored via Supabase

We use Supabase as our backend service to store and sync Your application data. The following data is stored:

Anonymous device identifier (UUID)
Study subjects (names, colors, goals, break durations)
Focus session records (start time, end time, duration, subject)
Application settings (focus/break defaults, streak thresholds)

All data is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies, ensuring that only Your device can access Your data. Supabase's privacy policy can be found at https://supabase.com/privacy.

Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the Application. Google AdMob may collect and use certain data to provide personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID / IDFA)
IP address
Device and app information
Interaction data with ads

Google's use of information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting Your device settings under Settings > Privacy > Tracking.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
To display advertisements through Google AdMob.
To sync Your data across sessions using Supabase backend.
To contact You via push notifications regarding session completion.
For analytics: to understand usage trends and improve the Service.

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

Application usage data: up to 24 months.
Server logs: up to 24 months for security and troubleshooting.
Study session data: retained as long as the anonymous device ID remains active.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed via Supabase servers which may be located outside of Your country. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Delete Your Personal Data

You have the right to delete Your Personal Data. You may contact Us at any time to request deletion of all data associated with Your anonymous device identifier. Since no account or login is required, deletion can be performed by contacting Us via email.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Law enforcement

Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. Your anonymous device ID is stored in the iOS Keychain, which provides hardware-level encryption. All data transmitted to our servers uses HTTPS encryption. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us.
